About Nusa Dua
Nusa Dua, en el sureste de Bali, es conocida por sus resorts de lujo y sus playas tranquilas… pero también alberga una de las olas más potentes y consistentes de la isla. El reef break de Nusa Dua es un spot de clase mundial que capta grandes swells del sur y ofrece secciones largas, rápidas y poderosas. Local knowledge
Arrecife de coral vivo, poco profundo y afilado, situado bien lejos de la orilla, con corrientes fuertes que se desplazan a lo largo del arrecife y te alejan del pico — es fácil ser arrastrado por la línea o hacia el fondo cuando hay swell. Trae tu shortboard habitual para los días de olas más pequeñas y con pegada, pero sube a una semi-gun de 6'6"–7'0" cuando esté overhead y con fuerza — esta ola es rápida y potente, y necesitarás la velocidad de paddle y el drive para hacer las secciones. Con un gran swell de temporada este, una gun de verdad no es ningún exceso.

It packs an absurd density of quality breaks into a small island: machine-perfect reef barrels on the Bukit Peninsula, mellow beach breaks on the west coast, and a Bali Sea wave or two over on the east.
✈️Getting there
Bali is the simplest surf destination in Indonesia to reach. Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Denpasar handles direct flights from across Asia and Australia, plus connections worldwide via Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Doha and beyond. From Australia it's a short hop from Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.
🛵Getting around
The default surfer transport is a scooter (110–150cc). It's cheap, easy to rent daily or monthly, and lets you slip down narrow Bukit lanes and beat the traffic. Bring or rent a board rack/strap. Wear a helmet, ride sober, and know that traffic is chaotic and Bali's road-accident rate is high — many travellers come unstuck here.

Bali has two seasons. The dry season runs roughly April to October — sunny, lower humidity, and the prime surf window for the south and west coasts, with consistent groundswell and clean morning offshore winds. This is peak season; expect crowds and book ahead.
