About Areguling Bay Inside
Areguling Bay Inside es un reef break intermedio de gran belleza situado en una bahía resguardada en la costa sur de Lombok, que produce olas consistentes y bien formadas que premian a los surfistas con una técnica decente. Local knowledge
El arrecife es poco profundo en bajamar — coral vivo y roca afilada acechan cerca de la superficie, por lo que una caída en el momento equivocado puede provocar cortes y rozaduras de coral; los escarpines son una buena idea. Los erizos de mar se concentran en las grietas del arrecife alrededor de las zonas de entrada y salida, así que arrastra los pies en lugar de pisar con decisión. It carries the spirit of an older Bali — quiet villages, jungle-clad hills, the towering Mount Rinjani volcano to the north, and a string of perfect bays and headlands along the south coast. The surf scene here is laid-back and adventure-driven rather than polished and packaged.
✈️Getting there
Fly into Lombok International Airport (LOP), near Praya in the centre-south of the island — a short 30–45 minute drive from Kuta Lombok and the main surf zone. There are frequent domestic connections from Jakarta, Surabaya and especially Bali (Denpasar), plus some regional international links.
🛵Getting around
A scooter is the default way to explore Lombok's surf coast — cheap to rent in Kuta and ideal for the dirt tracks leading to Mawi, Are Guling and the quieter bays. Bring board racks or a strap, and ride cautiously: roads range from smooth tarmac to potholed dirt, and rural traffic can be unpredictable.
